Community Poultry Support
Our poultry farming model is designed for both meat and egg production. The male chickens (cockerels) are raised specifically for meat and sold at maturity, while the hens are retained for laying eggs. This dual-purpose approach allows us to maximize revenue streams while meeting the growing demand for high-quality poultry products in our region.
To ensure sustainability and profitability, we have adopted a production cycle that allows for three batches of 100 birds per year, bringing the total to 300 birds annually. As part of our expansion strategy, there is a plan to increase our production capacity in the second year to accommodate 200 birds per cycle, totaling 600 birds annually. This gradual scaling-up aligns with our vision of becoming a leading supplier of indigenous poultry products in Nakuru county and beyond.

Feed Formulation and Supply Business
One of the major challenges in poultry farming is the high cost of commercial feeds, which significantly impacts profitability. To address this issue, Farmchance established an animal feed formulation shop in a nearby trading center. This initiative serves a dual purpose: first, to produce high-quality, cost-effective feeds for our own poultry farm, and second, to supply neighboring farmers with affordable and nutritionally balanced animal feeds.
Our feed shop specializes in formulating a wide range of feeds tailored to different livestock needs. These include:
- Poultry Feeds: Starter, grower, and layer feeds formulated to ensure proper growth, weight gain, and egg production.
- Dairy Feeds: High-energy and protein-rich rations to enhance milk production in dairy cattle.
